Attend a Junior Steelheads Game

The Idaho Junior Steelheads begin their 2010-11 home season play in McCall at the Manchester Ice and Event Centre this weekend.  Games start at 7 P.M. both Friday and Saturday nights against the Phoenix Polar Bears.

Idaho’s Junior Steelheads placed second during last year’s regular play and clinched a play-off berth as a first-year team of the Western Division of the Western States Hockey League.  Junior Steelhead players are aged 17 – 20.

Many returning players provide great balance on defense and all four offensive lines of the team.  This should provide some good competition and good viewing for the fans.  During the long winter in McCall, hockey fans and people wanting to learn something about the game, fill the stands of the Manchester Ice and Event Centre to cheer on these kids hoping, one day, to play in the National Hockey League.
